Katherine Santiago
State & Federal Chair
- Serves as the representatives of A.S. Lobby Corps in all Statewide and National affairs.
- Oversees all operations, projects, campaigns, and activities of Lobby Corps members and affiliates pertaining to statewide and national affairs.
- Recruits students to attend statewide and national conferences and activities, in which students lobby on behalf of UCSB and the greater UC student population.
- Serves as the EVPSA Legislative Director.
- Serves on the Board of Directors through the Government Relations Committee in the University of California Association, which represents all undergraduate students across the 9 undergraduate campuses.
- Serves as liaison and official Associated Students representative to the federal government, statewide government, UC Regents, system-wide administration, the UC Student Association (UCSA), US Students Association (USSA), and state and national student coalitions.
- Coordinates all lobby appointments with statewide and federal representatives regarding state and federal legislation.
- Builds rapport and working relationships with state and federal representatives through regular meetings.
