Lobby Corps is excited to announce our first advocacy trip of the 2017-2018 academic year! We will be taking a small group of students to Sacramento to meet with our state representatives, and help pass a number of bills that directly affect our campus community. Right now, there is a very small window open for students to influence legislative outcomes this session. We are looking for passionate, civic-minded, and engaged undergraduate students to join us. Experience in lobbying, advocacy, or similar forms of civic engagement is recommended, but not required.
Travel and hotel accommodations will be paid for by Associated Student UCSB Lobby Corps. Meal costs will be reimbursed following the completion of the trip. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM on August 22 and applicants will be contacted shortly after.
WHEN: Tues. August 29 to Wednesday. August 30
WHERE: Sacramento, CA
WHO: UCSB undergraduate students
